Sarah Rowan is a poet and novelist native to Nebraska. Born in a small rural community, she now calls the bustling metropolis of Omaha her home. Her poems often touch on the themes of death, divinity, and the queer midwestern experience. Her first novel "A Good Life" was published in 2016 by Amazing Things Press.
Her literary influences include Jane Austen, William Blake, Willa Cather, Emily Dickinson, and the Beat Poets. In addition, she often incorporates elements of Greek and Norse mythology. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Education in English Education from Northwest Missouri State University and a Bachelor's of Ministry in Wiccan Ministry.
She is a 1st Degree Priestess in the WISE Tradition of Wicca and the current Devotional Coordinator at Woolston-Steen Theological Seminary. She is also committed to social issues and volunteers at a local hospice agency.
