Welcome to my website! Full disclosure — I tried to start this blog just about one year ago and failed miserably. But I think now is the right time to kick it off again, so here we go.
My name is Sarah. I’m 24 years old, and I live in Baltimore, Maryland. As I’m writing this, my career is in a little bit of limbo, but let’s just say I write for a living. More details below.
I have a degree in Spanish from Towson University, and I spent around a year and a half working as an editor at a financial publishing company. Before that, I was a part-time high school Spanish teacher.
I left my financial publishing job at the end of September 2021, and right now, I’m a freelance copywriter and a server at an area bar and restaurant.
I’m figuring a lot of stuff out these days about where I want my life to go. I applied to go back to college in the spring for a second bachelor’s in health education and promotion. Ideally, I’ll get out of that program and pursue a career as a community health educator — but that’s just my idea for right now.
This blog is a bit of an ode to life in my early 20’s. I’m slowly learning that it’s okay to not have everything in order at 24 years old, and I’m embracing it slowly but surely. I’m not holding myself to any number of minimum blog posts for now, or any kind of specific topic. For now, I just want to write what’s on my mind.
So if you’re here, welcome. I appreciate you stopping by, and I hope you keep coming back. I have a lot on my mind, and a lot I want to say — so don’t miss it.
See you soon,
Sarah
